Nookie

OK, hold it.  That’s the name I’m going to call the Nook (B&N e-reader) that I’m am buying used on Amazon of all places.  What did you think I was talking about? I have a history of toofless naming of things.  When I was about 8, I got a chicken for Easter.  I named him Pecker.   Hey, I was 8!  I had great parents they only smiled.  My Grams laughed but then she hugged me — no harm, no foul.

I’m getting the Nook because Calibre will transfer books to it.  I am getting the wireless version without downloading in the wild capability.  It was listed as new-in-the-box for $90. That’ll be a lot more handy than reading on the desktop or the laptop.  It is also suppose to be better on the eyes.

Pokerwise, I won another “tournament” on UB.  It is in quotes because there were 8 playing.  So, the starting table started as the final table.  It only excuse is that it was on the tournament page.

I need to find somebody outside the US that has a UB account — Canada should be good. Supposedly, they can still cash.  I’ll pay 10% for their trouble and transfer to them on UB (or it could be Absolute) and maybe see my funds.  I did pull the amount of my initial deposit a while back so this isn’t quite as bad as it might have been.  It isn’t huge.   I’m sitting at around $200.  If you are willing to help out, drop me an email directed to webmaster at this url.

I’ve thought of the Canadian thing, but I’m guessing you can’t withdraw nor transfer to someone else. Let me know if you’re able to do this.

I think you are probably right. I went to see if I could send you 10-bucks as a test and couldn’t find the transfer feature.

I think Euros are going to have withdrawal issues too as UB is cutting and running with all the money.

Well, it is all winnings. The deposit was long withdrawn.

    You’ve heard of winnings, right?
