Quiz
Improbable is a participant in every tournament. He rules the roost until his brother, Impossible, shows up and showing up is a given. Here is my variation on a classic. OK, I have too much time on my hands.
- You are chip leader 60:40 at the table
- Distribution is heavily weighted to the top position
- 5 are left
- on the next hand the other players are all in with roughly equal stacks
Would you fold your pocket aces?

You have too much time on your hands … or someone gave you some amphetamines that you are eating like M&M’s.
Snide remark denied. You are welcome to multiple snide remarks after you answer the question.
Yes I fold AA there. I’m not a favorite with 4 others already in and I’d rather take my chances heads up with a guy willing to call multiple all ins.
Hey, I finally get someone to not wuss out. Thanks, Friend!
But are you sure? 🙂
You aren’t that big a dog. It is likely there are a couple of hands with lower pairs as 7:1 shots. Luck would have the other two with AK and the same 7:1 for them to chop. You are hurt but not destroyed if you are beat.3/7th is about what most 40:60 races are offering. Whoever is left against you would have a very playable stack and a chance to get it in better against you and take the lead.
Yeah, I don’t think there is a real answer. I’d likely fold `em too. I’ve certainly folded KK, AK, QQ etc. in somewhat similar circumstances.
Its been so long since I got AA in a tourney I wouldn’t know what to do with them anyway
